At Moonen Shipyard, Alewijnse succedded in a major five-month refit of one of its original ‘pocket-size superyachts’. For the Moonshadow Noa amongst others a complete new sundeck was created and teak decking was replaced completely. Other features of the exterior refit included the addition of a fixed bimini over the flying bridge and raising flying bridge bulwarks. Next to a complete overhaul of engines, gensets, and exhausts, the bridge got new navigation components and alarm system. The existing alarm and monitoring system was replaced by the Alewijnse Almacs system. The antenna mast was modified to accommodate SatCom and Wi-fi antennas and a wireless network was installed. This means the owners now can use two of our latest products: the Fleetbroadband 500 system for high speed internet at sea and our Wi-fi solution for wireless internet in ports. Alewijnse was responsible for the complete electrical engineering, installation and commissioning and also supplied all navigation equipment and the camera system.
