Alewijnse delivers RPA 15 for Rotterdam Port Authorities after major refit.

After a major refit of RPA 15, which took several months, Alewijnse finalised their new bridge system.
The ship is now ready to sail on inland rivers and at sea because of the combination of inland and seagoing navigation equipment.
The new installed sophisticated chartradar in combination with the approved ECDIS system decreases the workload of the crew. The majority of the navigation system was installed by Brian Smout: "The bridge desk is really full with equipment because of all the electronics on board. All these electronic systems made it difficult to install the complete bridge because of the minimal space we had in the navigation desk and aft desk. Despite these challenges we managed to deliver a high end installation which works perfectly according clients expectations."
