Alewijnse integrates PRIVACY mode in Inland AIS 

Do you wish to decide when to be seen (and when not)? Alewijnse's Comnav AIS has been extended with an integrated privacy mode.

We stress that the use of the privacy mode is only temporarily, and is not allowed to use as soon as the AIS identification is legally obliged by governments.

Although many shipowners decided to install an AIS system, not everyone has yet made the decision. Alewijnse activated the privacy mode within the existing software of the Alewijnse provided Comnav AIS. When activated, the privacy mode will stop sending information. At the same time you will remain receiving information and so stay in contact with the outside world.
